Good to see you’re getting enough satellite coverage to get your posts up. I’m wondering how you’re going to get to write so much every day and still do your share of the work? I know I did most of my journal writing in bed by headlamp, either last thing at night or first thing in the morning. BTW, if by “flash drive” you mean an SD card, those are waterproof. USB drives, not so much so.

My sister’s iphone was immersed in the Wenatchee river, and stopped working, but 3 days later it rose from the dead and became functional again.

I have sent a request to have the mystery of how the flash drive made it into the water revealed. Remember we are communicating via SAT phone email so it may take a day or two to get a response.

Loved Tom’s description of House Rock Rapid, especially getting jolted in the tail waves. That seemed to be the rule for me last year. I’d successfully row through some big rapid, and then the last little wave in the the tail of the rapid would somehow leap up and slap me in the face. Great stuff!

Great post, I can almost feel the rapids and see the stone! I, too, would like to know how that flash drive took a dive! Especially enjoyed mention of that other first timer, my son Dave.

I’m watching for your posts and word on where your camps are each night. And now I’m wondering how the flash drive got into the water…but more importantly, back out of the water. Might be a first for the history books.
